The flight from Phnom Penh to Taipei took 3 ½ hours. The layover in the Taipei airport was 7 hours of waiting. The flight from Taipei to Vancouver took a whopping 12 hours. That adds up to 22 ½ hours of travelling and waiting. Needless to say, the children are restless and
ready to see Canada.

For the rest of the tour, I, Adam Sylvester, proud grandson of Marie Ens, will be documenting this family road trip. I will be updating the blog on a daily basis, often covering the events from the day before. My parents, Blaine and Shelly, are a big part of this tour, and will no doubt play a big part on this great journey.
I'm the one on the right. Expect to see more of my buddy on the left. He likes to pop up every now and then.

After arriving at the Vancouver airport at 8:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time), the Cambodian team did not come through their gate until 9:20. Once they did, there were many hugs exchanged between my family and the Cambodian team. The kids were all very excited and seemed to enjoy moving the suitcases with the airport carts.
I rode on the bus with the Cambodian team, which transported us from the Vancouver airport to Maple Ridge Alliance Church. The kids were somewhat rowdy for the first twenty minutes of the trip, as I horsed around with some of them at the back of the bus. After engaging in fake karate fights, impromptu English rhymes, and attempted photography with a low-battery phone and kids who won't sit still, the exhaustion of the long trek set in and the bus fell silent, except for the sound of light snoring.
Once we arrived at Maple Ridge Alliance Church, the kids all commented on how cold it felt. Being a proud Calgarian, I made sure to let them know that it was actually quite warm. Many of the kids proceeded to say, "don't lie". The billets then arrived and took their assigned guests back to their homes, where the Cambodians will all get well deserved rests.
The camera wasn't shaking, he was just hopped up on Tim Horton's coffee and coconut rice.

Today is the first full day in Canada for the Cambodian team, a day in which we plan to practice the performances and testimonies, and fine-tune the presentation aspects. Of course, there will still be plenty of time for fun.
Please keep the Cambodians in your prayers as they adapt to Canada!
God bless & Jesus saves.
